We’re excited to announce a new way for you to use your digital assets to buy real-world goods and services, with a card that is accepted almost anywhere.
The epay Mastercard is now available to our users in PolisPay version 8.0.0. It consists of a Mastercard® card, that can be recharged via the new feature of the PolisPay app: The gift cards.
Epay card: everything you need to know
The epay card is a prepaid card that is managed on a prepaid basis. You can use your card to pay almost everywhere where MasterCard® is accepted. Once the card is activated and topped up, you can use it worldwide: For online shopping, to pay in shops or to withdraw cash from an ATM. Thanks to the prepaid function, you can also always keep track of your spending, since payments are only possible if you have previously topped up the corresponding credit to your card. It also makes your online shopping even more secure — you only top up the amount on your card you are willing to spend.
The epay card Prepaid Mastercard® is embossed and does not feature a name on the card. This enables you to pay anonymously online and offline up to €100. Should you wish to spend more, you can identify yourself within minutes using Bitcou video identification procedure and thus immediately increase your monthly limit to €4,000 (annually: € 36,000).
The card can be ordered through Bitcou GmbH. The recharge is then possible via gift card through the Polispay App in €100, €50 and €25. For the shipping of a single card and activation, Bitcou charges €20. PolisPay is the first app in the world where you can load the card with crypto.
Unfortunately, it is currently not possible to order the Epaycard directly through the PolisPay app, but this will change in the next weeks.
The epay cards will be available for the following countries:
Germany, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Sweden, Switzerland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, and United Kingdom.
